They’re still out there part 7: Bowman’s Vinyl & Lounge

The last stop on this journey was Bowman’s Vinyl and Lounge.  It’s been a long and at times frustrating journey but finally it’s at an end.  This incidentally turned out to be a pretty damn good place to end up, because as well as a full bar and a bunch of cool records to look at.  They’ve also got a pretty nice location depending on when you go.

One thing I did notice was that there happened to be an amazing sunset when I got there, and they have a patio out front which is a great place to sit and look at the mountains while you drink and enjoy some good music.

Unfortunately I didn’t have a lot of time to check this place out, but as far as records go there really was not a whole lot to see.  That’s not to say they don’t have anything good, I saw a few albums that I wouldn’t mind adding to my collection.  They just haven’t been around for too long so they haven’t been able to put together an amazing collection like a lot of these other places.

One of the coolest things about this place was the sitting area they had in the back.  There’s a room that almost feels like it was in a prohibition era speakeasy or something.  It’s just a nice, slightly quieter room to sit in and enjoy people’s company and talk about the new records you just bought.  There’s also a piano that May or may not be available for use.  Maybe they have people come in and play it from time to time or something but it’s there and hopefully somebody pays it.

This definitely is a nice little bar to come and enjoy a different kind of music listening atmosphere.  I hope people start going to this place and others like it because it seems like a pretty cool idea.
